One person is opting not to be themselves; to show compassion for the egoist by putting their insecurities first; and is accepting that they will not be treated as an equal or with respect during the interaction.

When a person doesn&#039;t trust me I can do the above in order to &quot;get things done&quot; such as work etc, but if this was a friend or family, I would walk away emotionally and physically, because they do not trust me and the situation would be unhealthy for both of us.</description>
